“Souper” Bowl Sunday & Good Friday

by Rev. Rick Pursley

Just a reminder that on Sunday, February 11th, after our worship service we will meet in the activity building to share our favorite soups and enjoy a time of fellowship together.  Also as a fun way to collect much needed food items for Heart and Hand, two tables have been set up in the activity building.  One is identified for the Kansas City Chiefs, the other for the San Francisco 49ers.  Which ever team you are cheering for to win the Super Bowl, ,we encourage you to bring canned soup or other non-perishable food items and place on the table that represents your team.  This is a fun way to help feel a very vital need in our community.

Good Friday: This Tuesday at noon, some of our folks from Rock Solid will be working on the material to prep for the costumes for our Good Friday/Experience Bethlehem events.  We have had a few people step up to participate in the Good Friday Service.  This is a drama depicting observations of artisans regarding the events preceding the crucifixion of Christ.  It is a very moving program and my prayer is that we have enough volunteers that we can make this a success.

If you want to volunteer or simply have any questions, feel free to contact Tammie or Barb Taylor regarding the costumes. You can contact me regarding the program itself.  Good Friday is March 29th.  So it is quickly approaching.

God bless and have a great week!
